Environmental Technologies Group (ETG)
Environmental Technologies Group (ETG), located in Edgewood, Maryland, USA, had a long history of developing and manufacturing chemical detection systems for the US military, foreign military customers, and commercial customers. It went on to develop the Bio Detector, the detector of choice for the U.S. Army, jointly developed and field-tested with the U.S. Army Chemical and Biological Defense Command.
ETG's origins stretched back over 100 years, originally as Friez Instruments, later becoming a division of the Bendix Corporation. ETG eventually established a leading position in the supply of hand held nuclear, biological and chemical agent detectors for military defense and first responders.
